Depends on what you mean by expensive...b16a2 head from the Civic Si with ITR version 1 or version 2 (CTR) cams on a GS-R block that's been torn down and replaced with ITR or CTR pistons (dome top) and rods. Add up parts and labor and it could $1,500-3,000+. I bought a complete ITR longblock brand new for $2,600

Basically got it right at cost...honda factory assembled block and a complete but unassembled head all still in the pink wrappers and boxes. No sensors, dizzy, wiring, or valvecover, etc. It was shipped out and the oil pan got dented so it was shipped back to the dealer. Put a new oil pan put on it and it was sold...now has 55,000 miles on it now

Really just lucky, it was advertised on honda-tech for nearly 3 weeks before i saw it...I spent 3 months of sleepless nights looking for an engine.
