i have something to add as it pertains to this conversation.

you can order rb parts from your local nissan dealer now. many parts will be in hand 2-5 business days of when they were ordered. while its true a 2jz front cut can be had for less than $3000 and a good r33 rb26 motor set cant be bought for less than $3500, you need to be clear about the details. toyota put the 2jztt into everything, but the only cars that werent autos were a few supras and chasers. a 2jztt with the 6spd will cost you well in excess of $5000. now a good rb25 trans can be had for $900, making the total for rb26 engine/trans ready to go into a 240sx at about $4600. at that point its tit for tat. these arent arbitrary numbers, its what i paid for my shit and i dont have a shop backing me. the reason i used the r33 rb26 in my example is, 1. its the motor i bought and 2. its generally regarded as the best bang for the buck rb26; all the r32 problems were worked out, it will except all the n1 equipment with no modification, and its significantly cheaper than the r34 motors.

i also agree this swap will never happen.
