Aight i got some JdM TyTe mods for you to get yur car mad pwning those V8's. First of all lets get that car lightwheight, make sure you drill out yur dipstick, and remove the valve cover, also, who the hell needs a radiator?? -50 pounds right there, and obviously drill out the wheels, -10lbs more. As for the engine yur prolly gonna want a 3rd camshaft, I reccomend Greddy. after that get some performance piston return springs, i would say that would get you running at about 280whp. Check all of your neccesary equipment, make sure yur Vtec fluid is at the right height (4 fl. oz line, just look in the Vtec controller, if you don't have Vtec fluid, regular motor oil in it will work good enough) Next make sure yur clutch pully is catching well, or else yur gonna lose a lot of power, and buy some performance alternator batteries, you can get them at pep-boys, just ask around. After that you're about set, of course for a little extra power you could always take out the oil pan cus they can be really really heavy (especially on your year civic), also painting the valve rockers red, and drilling them out wouldn't hurt to bad either. Aight, once you've fallowed these instructions yur good to go.
