iacv wont set a cel code, look back in your throttle and if u see a little opening off to the side clean in it with the throttle cleaner some more and try again.. they like to gum up and start sticking when it gets cold outside.

Ya, I hate to tread steal, but Iv'e got a similar problem. Just recentley, when I start my car the idle goes from 450 rpms to 2100 rms. back and forth, back and forth. And sometimes it just stops, but other times it keeps doing it after the car is up to temperature.

its very common when it starts getting cold outside because the gunk that accumulates in the valve hardness and makes it stick

i'm willing to bet you fouled out a plug kicking a CEL for a misfire, if you're careful you can clean off the throttle body with the car off, careful i mean not excessive carb clean, just clean and wipe, clean and wipe, but if you're goint to soak the intake with it you should do it with the car running or it'll foul a plug, that's what it sounds like to me, take a look at your plugs, only takes 10 minutes.
