no, it basically slides in there, there may be a band around the tube that holds it secure in place to the intake or side of the block with a 10mm bolt but if you can follow the tube with your eyes down to the bottom of the block with nothing in the way then basically go underneath with a flat head and a hammer and lightly tap it up and out, when you install the new one tap it at the bottom, don't bang it in from the very top unless you're careful, you don't want to bend your new $2X tube
