headlight paintin?

i have an extra headlight for my EF , i took off the glass piece and painted the chrome housing black , just to get an idea of what it would look like , it looks good , but i was wonderin how it will affect the projection and visibilty of my lights ? any one done this and if so how were the results? thanx!

Me and a friend did this on his Accord. It didn't really affect how his lights perfomed. The thing is though you can't just paint everything black. If you left the areas chrome that should have been left than eveything should be fine.

all of the housin is chrome , so.......if i paint them am i fucked as far my vison goes at nite?

Painted it like this, but leave the chrome around the bulb.

lol... dont paint them... cant even notice then when theey are painted on a EF because of the lens type... the lines and grooves in the lens make it hard to see the black anyways...so it wouldnt even make a difference...
