    Default Accord w/ H22 Questions

I have a 96 accord w/ a H22A in it. Will an exhaust for an accord fit up to the H22 header?? What's the redline for this engine anyways? If I replace the engine mounts should they be for an accord or a prelude?

depends on the year of the car, I believe the CB7 accord exhuast will bolt up to the h22 downpipe. redline is usually around 7200 i believe.

the prelude redline is 7500, the prelude header will not bolt up to accord exhaust 3 bolt to a 2 bolt.

it's a manual... So what's the deal cause I've heard 8200 before and this guy with 7500. It is a JDM H22A btw.

I'll try to get some pics of it. I know i've noticed that somebody shaved some metal off of the pump.

you shouldnt need a custom exhaust..just search for one on ebay that goes with your motor... but as you can see, there a three of them...

    H22A 2.2 16V DOHC VTEC PGM-FI 2157 220hp@7200rpm 163tq@6500rpm '97-'01 Prelude SiR (JDM)
    H22A 2.2 16V DOHC VTEC PGM-FI 2157 200hp@7000rpm 156tq@5250rpm '99-'01 Prelude (USA)
    H22A 2.2 16V DOHC VTEC PGM-FI 2157 200hp@7200rpm 163tq@6500rpm '97-'01 Prelude Type-S (JDM)

Actually it's an OBD I engine so no it's none of those. So are you trying to say to get an exhaust for a Prelude? is the fitment the same or does it have to be modified?

just take the exhaust you buy to a muffler shop and have them weld in the correct peice you need. About the redline 7500 is keeping it safe if you start reving your internal stock motor past this you will be ending your motors life early.
