Default opinions on OEM vs reman

thought I would start an interesting thread on Reman parts (autozone, o'reilly, advance) VS. OEM honda parts.

what is your opinions....are you a die hard OEM guy or do you buy certain remann'ed parts?

I am trying to freshen up a motor as quickly as possible but keep my costs down because I will be selling it. parts i know i will go with OEM honda on are timing belt and balance shaft belt, tensioner, and probably oil pump, and headgasket.

what are your opinions on other gaskets? main seals? water pumps?

It dep. sometimes the dealer's are less expensive than autozone, advance etc...call and find out. But OEM parts would probably be better quality (just my opinion)

OEM for MAJOR components IE oil pumps, timing belts, water pumps, headgaskets

I use autozone an pepboys for little stuff like oil filters, valve cover gasket, slave cylinders, radiators, intake manifold gaskets, etc.

any MAJOR component i would always use OEM
