    Default 99 Si Window Problem

well...its sure isn't the regulator which is the most common window problem that i've had with civics.

I was riding home form class and had my window half way down and it would not roll up. After a few mins it rolled up when i press the button.

Well i cracked it open today and tried rolling it up and the same problem happened. I checked all the fuses for the windows and they were all good,

I am guessing the power window motor is burnt...any other suggestions? this motor is $100 + at honda...does this happen alot?

sounds like the motor, yeah the contacts in them get burnt up. sometimes you can bang on it and it'll work, but eventually it's gonna take a total dump, you can get reman motors aka pep girls or another parts store, o'reily's has decent quality aftermarket shit, anything beats autozone's parts. the only other possibility is your window switch but eh it's probably the motor. always good to have a power probe ( the mac daddy of all test lights ) to test

appreciate the reply..i took my brothers switch out of his 99 ex to narrow out the switch...its def not it..

Honda Price - $147 (my discounted price)
    Napa Price - $141
O'Reilys - $52.99 with core (remanufactured part + Lifetime warranty)
Pep Boys - $58.99 (no lifetime warranty because its a special order)

looks like O'Reilys is the Champ

I would also get run channel for that window also... that usually cause either the motor or regulator to go bad
