    Default LSD in a B-Series Tansmission

    Hey folks,
    I am still in my noob phase when it comes to hondas, but I I have a 1999 Civic coupe with a LS/VTEC mated with a 2000 Civic SI transmission. I wanted to know if I could add a limited slip differential to the transmission without any major modification to the transmission (cutting, welding, new gears etc). I am still learning to drive it (never drove a manual before) but I know that the LSD will offer better traction and less of a chance of the front wheel spinning out. Any help or advise would really be appriciated

    yeah the cheapest ting to run would be Integra Type R LSD. however youll need to change the ring and pinion gear and 1st to a 1.8l-ITR gear.

    i charge $450 to install it if the tranny is in the car.
    ($300 to drop trans and install, $150 to install differential)

    Parts wise your looking at $400-500 for the diff and gears

    or you can just buy a Quaiffe, ATS LSD for $900-1000 which are much better diffs

    I got lucky and got a hell of a deal on a jdm itr lsd. I haven't had any problems with it yet, but don't have a bunch of miles on it either.

    I have a JDM type R LSD that will be a drop in for 300 bucks. Comes with bearings too.

    ^^not a bad deal at all, considering I paid 330 for mine including shipping from Japan. Then had to buy the ring gear and pinion from an itr to make it work right.

    it will not DROP in without the rings and pinion gear. the differentials are different sizes, do you have the ring an pinion to go with it trihn?

    once again thanks for some knowledgable help! My only question now is does the CTR and ITR share the same LSD?
