    Default Megan racing seat help

    Ok I have been in their reclining seats. They were nice. Needed a little bit more padding for that type of seat. But otherwise nice. (ESP PRICE) But has anyone seen these or sat in them or shit hopefully have them? I mean they are carbon fiber too! Anyone know of the safety ratings or how they last. bla bla bla...

    I don't think that's CF, probably fiberglass... anyway, seats are a safety item, this is not a knock on megan's products, but, for an important safety item I'd tend to stick to proven brands, and let other people test out the new stuff, just my 2 cents.
    PS: Seats are rated by FIA, but alot of quality seats don't have FIA ratings, so it's not a big deal unless your organization requires it.

    The price for those to the brides I want is just 200 but still. I cant get CF for that cheap

    it might be fiberglass overlayed w/ CF or "cheap" carbon fiber...IMO you shouldn't get the seat just because it is CF...

    i would get the memory fab s58 seat. http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread/919717
    get it in fiberglass. Although there is a 8 week wait time, its only $470 shipped to georgia. THATS FOR A PAIR $820 shipped for a pair or carbon fiber s58 seats. Memory fab seats have been crash tested at over 120km/h.

    Or the f1spec type 3 seat. Fiberglass, $500 shipped to GA (for a pair). http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread/1514725
    $900 shipped for a pair of carbon fiber type 3 seats though.
