    Default What should I get...

I currently drive a 2001 GTI 1.8T but am trying to sell. My parents bought it for me and I cannot deal with having an automatic transmission any longer.

I have made the most of it and have an EVO MS cold air intake, smoked sides, MB Quart premium sub and amp, custom enclosure, straight pipe in place of muffler, and other stuff but it has got to go...

I will have roughly $18K with the sale of my car and savings and need something new. What should I get?

I'm considering a E36 M3, 2003 GTI 20th Anniversary Edition, and some other cars I'm embarrassed to mention on a euro forum.

    Tell me what you think.

They aren't bad cars but my first attempt to talking to a VW owner wasn't great. I said WRX. He immediately said "rice"

But the imports I want are WRX, 350Z, or maybe a friends S14 w/ sr20det swap. I'd consider other imports though.

I appreciate the suggestions man but... My families Audi Experience is not good. My mom's A6 was $33K we probably put $10K into it, sold it for $7K, 5 years later.

On DurtyDub, it divides cars into chasis. Under A5 it says coming to a honda dealership near you. Enough said.

Nevertheless I appreciate the replys. Keep them coming.

Get an Evo or a WRX. Depends how fast you wanna go. If you wanna go fast...get the Evo, if you wanna drive spiritedly but mostly have a nice DD, get the WRX.

350z for good looks and reliability.

Nice. I am just not liking the interior of WRX's. And I can see myself buying like a $2K STI interior, but I guess that wouldn't be so bad. I drove a wagon it was really fast, I loved it. I would only get a sedan though.

vwhoretex hahah. I don't deal with vortex.

    For $18k, (IMO, and for what it's worth) I'd get a 2001-2002 Audi S4.
A great all-in-one car with potential, good looks, , comfort, reliability, and the best AWD system offered by any manufacturer.
Although not cheap or simple to modify (due to the lack of space in the engine compartment), the engine is good for 500+whp with bolt-ons, and the rest of the driveline has been proven to hold over 800whp.
