Places that will check my codes

I am trying to check the codes that is producing a check engine light. I did the papr clip thing and I tried to read the codes and I think I am not reading it right, so I just want to make sure I got it right by having a machine read the the codes. Does anybody know where I can get them to check my codes for cheap or free, o I have a obd1 car

if I could boost I would drive up there, but with no boost it will take me 2 hrs to get there.


I called a local autozone and they said the can do the scan. so thanks
