    Talking Jdm S14

figure I ask some question on which I can find a JDM real deal RHD s14 slivia around the Atlanta area. Kinda thinking about buying one in a couple of months if all goes well with my strict living on ramen noodles budget. Anyone know of any around here?...

Kinda looking for a manual, SR20DET if possible. I seen a few that is the silvia q's but not really interested. But hey if their is one for sell I'll give it some thoughts. Has to be the real deal S14 black top SR20DET. I know I'm asking alot. But every little bit counts. Oh yea 5 lug is a must!!!!! LMK

i highly doubt anyone has one lying around, you'd most likely have to import it or get extremely lucky. then, it will be basically impossible to make it legal so you'd be stuck using it as a show/race only car if you could even get one over here. i could see wanting to import a 15 as it is something we never got but you'd be much better off buying a regular 14 and swapping a SR yourself.

I know someone around here had an s14 for sale that was RHD that they converted from sr20de to sr20det. I don't know if it's for sale still or what.

You can every once and a while find a shell for sale on ebay or sometimes in Canada. Good luck with your search.

RC syndicate had a few Silvias and a Skyline a few months back. One was a JDM Q's automatic that had been swapped to a blacktop s14 5 speed. Good luck finding one.

actually, yes they would if they find out it's not actually a 240sx. unless you plan on buying several S14's from japan and crash testing them, reporting your data to the NTSB and other govt organizations and supplying them with several to crash as well, and replacing all non US DOT compliant parts with parts that meet US crash and emissions standards then you will never own a legal silvia in the states. that and you'll pay one hell of a premium to just be able to say you have a RHD car.

guys take it easy on him, we ALL know its true that RHD cars are faster, and you can't pull a mad tight JDM drift if you're not shifting with your left hand... besides, he needs the JDMness to go get with some of those JDM chicks.
    ---
please, stay AWAY from 240sx... the number of 240s are already diminishing, you're probably gonna buy one and spennd too much money in it and then crash it "drifting".... go become a mailman if you really want a rhd car, and leave the cars to people who actually will tap the potential of the car.

the thing is you can't even get it legalized for street use, so it won't even have a title or emissions stuff done.

It should be legal to convert an S14 to RHD. You could possibly get the necessary parts through Jarco or another importer. If you want to swap you need a 1995 or live in a place that doesn't require emmisions.

It's legal to make the car RHD. But why do you want to? It won't make the car cooler, because you probably won't do a clean job.
