    I'm not 100% sure, but I believe I read or heard somewhere about needing to replace the turbos at around that mileage ...maybe the S4 guys can confirm that...

    If it is "APR tuned out the ass" as he says then im guessings its SIII (RS4 K04s) which would most likley be newer then the mileage on the car. I say go for it. If i ever blow the 1.8T im dropping in a B5 S4 2.7TT in the Passat

    not an cheap job either..the whole motor has to be dropped to replace them

    this is not accurate.... www.gmpperformance.com would be a great resource. For the price I would bet it has the stock turbos.... IF replaced the dealer.... it is VERY expensive but for less than half get the Stage III with RS4 turbos, injectors etc.

    I agree with this. But yes I have heard it is a VERY expensive job, from a VERY reliable source
