    Hey,
    I'm currently swapping a jdm gsr/5speed in a 97 automatic ex civic coupe. I need helping choosing the best/easiest harness/ecu. I already have the motor dropped in the car just need to know what to use!!

    EX harness or a Si harnes...ECU P28 or P72...run a OBD2 to OBD1 conversion harness .........and have u already done the 5 speed conversion?

    yeah, i did the shifter linkage/ stabilizer bar/ pedals/ master cylinder/resevoir and all the lines. So i should look for a harness out of like a 99 si? also what car does the p28 and p72 come in?

    isnt it weird how people jump into a swap not knowing what they are doing or what parts to even use? not just you man, props for doing the swap, but ive seen alot of people on here lately attempting swaps that they have no idea how/what is going on

    well im a pretty experienced mechanic.. and you gotta start somewhere with the obd1 ex ecu operate the butterfly valve?

    also the gsr ecu better to go obd2 or 1?

    add to this p72 if you're trying to just plug and play w/o tuning the car or a socketed/chipped p28 to be able to tune and get the most out of it.

    jus to add to whut he said the p28 has to be chipped first
