ECU Sentra?

Anyone with a Sentra have their ECU remapped or rechipped?

Cas come to think about it I dont think I have heard anyone say anything about that upgrade for it...but I might be just loosing it.

i would hope the god not, becuase i have pushed my car to 141 before, after that it really doesnt gain anymore. If there is a limiter....then i would be to dam afraid to go past there in that car!

Tecnosquare came out with a reflash for the spec-v but it is the most retarded thing ever done to our cars. Basically it is the same price as the cobb reflash for the wrx and sti ($600 or so) and all it does is raise the rev-limiter from 6300 to I think 6700. No net whp gain or different maps for FI specs.

Cliff Notes: Tecnosquare can suck a big fat one for their work on the spec-v

In addition it is easier to swap a VQ35 into a sentra than it is to crack the Ecu

Give it time. The motor/ECU has only been around for 4 years. The SE-R has a speed limiter, the spec v doesn't, but with the areodynamics of a brick 130 is pretty good.

I was just curious cas I have never heard of that type of mod done to a spec v, but ya the areodynamics arent to great...it would have gone faster had I put the pedal down more.

Come to the Atlanta Motor Speedway for the friday night drags. I'll be there in my spec v. It's well worth the $20 to run, definatly worth the $5 or $7 to watch and hang out.

The reason y u beat that xrs is that there vtec don't come on until 7,000 rpm,and the have no tq...Try racing a Celica GTS with a good driver....I heard those spec v have lot of tq of the line..

What i know is that the XRS redlines at 6,500 if im not mistaking.....Vtec kicking in at 7k

GTS V Spec V with equal mods = Spec FTW. loved mine, totalled mine, almost bought a GTS then remember'd TQ wins races and HP looks good on paper.

Stillen has a Piggyback of some sort i believe for the QR, never got to use mine though. totalled it before i could install it.

just thought about something. did this guy have a matrix xrs? if so, yeah, that car is slower, but no, not a corolla 4-dr xrs.

and you can stay in lift through the shifts, you just have to know how to drive, and most people who drive, do not.

Now when i say vtec,i mean VVTi-L,its just easier to say vtec,mybad..The XRS has a celica gts engine with a different computer,so VVTi-L don't come on until 7,000 rpm,where as the celica comes on at 6000 rpm...Red line at 8000-8500 rpm,correct me if am wrong Outphase.....find a way to make it come on at 6000rpm,you'll be set.

Tq moves u of the line,3rd gear hp takes over...

The engine is 2ZZ-GE. Please don't say celica engine. It's made by Yamaha. Here, just read this, it'll make it easier for you.

BTW, Sentra caps out and the XRS/Celica will pull ahead of it. I don't care what you guys say, those shits are slow and heavy compared to a 2ZZ-GE Equipped Toyota. You need some heavy mods like the 2ZZ-GE to have substantial amount of difference.

It's a pretty fair race if you ask me, as long as your mods aren't heavy. I'm pretty much rolling stock now. Sold everything. And yeah, I will stop posting a million times, just didn't want to make one huge post.

Yeah it does sound nice. I don't do dragstrip anymore, or highway runs, or anything like that, pointless/waste of gas/proves nothing.

I only accept challenges to road racing now...forget this straightline stuff, sorry, like he said, there's tons of videos online, sure your car is faster than mine in a straightline, but what about a few more turns that require some driver correction?
