    Default B20Z2 Dyno Results - B16 DIAF!!!

I think that says it all. For an $800 motor in a $500 car with some I/H/E, I can't complain.

Oh, forgot to add that the cam gears were set at -2e +2i with no adjustment possible because I forgot my cut valve cover... and that was on 87 octane.

edit: Since some people can't see the links, so I attached them as well.

well considering LS motors with lots or work barely crack 150whp, hes showing that a stock motor makes almost the same.

B20Z, exactly what years were they made & in what cars?

What are they rated at stock?

    Looks like some good numbers!

Thanks guys! I had no idea what section it belonged in as it wasn't a question and that was the section with all of the bragging. Thanks for moving it.

The B20Z2 comes in the 1999-2001 USDM Honda CRV. It is rated at 146hp 133tq from the factory. I put out that plus a little more torque to the wheels. It has 9.6:1 compression vs. the 8.8:1 from the ealier B20B which is only rated at 126hp/133tq. Since the JDM engines all are labeled as B20B for both the low and high compression versions, you have to look for one with a knock sensor to get the high compression like this.

I may eventually go with an aftermarket intake, high flow cat, and actually adjust the cam gears on the dyno and see if I can top 150. As much as I would like to add a short geared tranny and a vtec head, I still have to drive it 70+ miles on the average weekday. I don't plan on touching the internals as this is my daily driver and I would end up with a non-daily driver if I started there.

Many thanks to Scotty - this thing ran like crap before tuning and drove like a brand new car on the way home! Oh, I forgot to ask when I was over there, is MainStream hiring?
