bike for < $2k

i always wanted to get a bke and now its about time, but i only have a little but of money to spend sine im apoor high school student and cant get anythign financed or at least dont want to. Basically i want a good first bike for a good price ( less thena 2k) thats like a 500 or 600cc the 250s are too small.

Any advice or tips yall can give me? maybe you know someone thats selling a bike that would be a good fit for me? or a good bike that i can look for thats normally pretty cheap but still good

The only bike you'll find for less than $2k is an old GS500, or an old old track-bike.

Even beat-up-but-working 600cc bikes never really get very far below $3k

I know that you may want a bike now, but save up a little more money and around the beginning of the year they sell like crazy, you may find one with 600cc for about 3500 or just a great deal. Most people sell around that time to upgrade. My brother does it every year.

Kaw. EX500
Yamaha FZR600

Any of them are good starter bikes.
