    You can make more whp with a stock 2j motorset than you can with a built KA!! WHat's the record for a built turbo KA??? And it's still a daily driver and not a dyno queen. The KA trans won't hold up after 375whp if it hooks. Already proven..

    Oh, and BTW, if you don't remember my stock bottom end, stock cams makes way more whp than any stock equivalent ka or rb for that matter. 473 whp.

    So do I have to like something just because everyone else does? Is one not allowed to their own opinion, stock KA-T's are a good bang for the buck, until they go bang, built KA-T's I believe are better than built SR's, SR's have been in the performance market for a long time now, and KA-T's ave just been coming around, KA-T's are starting to make big power. Take your base cost of your stock SR redtop 2.5k for a decent motorset, then your big money in EMS, and turbo setup, to make 450hp. Take that 2k you put into your SR motorset pull your KA, build it, rods, pistons, rebuild, and put the same turbo setup on it. You have a old used redtop making 450 could go any day, it used, don't know how much fun the last guy had with it. Take that fully rebuilt, new KA pull 450 out of it, but you have the head room for alot more than 450, and 450 barely even pushes a built ka-t.

    So in parts you have the same cost but a new built motor on one hand. All of the prices are only parts, saying you do all of the labor yourself. Built KA-T's the better option.

    and im sure Bobby will come in here an say its not on the bottle, or it is on the bottle but only a 50 shot, he wont have anything to prove what he is saying is correct, we will all tell him that if his motor BARELY will make 300whp there is no way it makes 370 with a 50shot, dry, then he'll say we dont know anything cause he knows more lablahblah.

    i know what he has an who dynoes nuitrous without tuning, thats just plain stupid. asking for a problem.

    im done with this thread as all i have seen is a stock motor on a big shot make some power, congrats, but im not impressed.

    Ok so Mike where do you get my HP numbers... Wait I went to MainStream before you worked there and That was in 04... Since then have you seen my car make any numbers since....NO... I have tried to give you guys Work, But Yet I end up at a Mustang Shop.. Oh Well... Think what you want.. I have nothing to Prove to anyone..     150 shot on an rb20 with a z31 turbo. I would have taken the 600 bucks for that setup and had dinner a couple of times. Anybody can spray the crap out of something with any old air fuel ratio and makes big power. The graph will look like Corky from Life goes On scribbled on it.

    again, no one is calling BULLSHIT on the numbers, but the numbers were posted STATING IT WAS A STOCK RB20 with a Z31 turbo, an a 50shot, an RB20 with those mods will NOT MAKE THAT MUCH POWER WITH ONLY THOSE MODS.

    If you think it can, by all means, come by the dyno, ill place $100 on the windshield, check your jet to a 50 shot, if you make +/- 15whp from the 370 with a 50 shot on your existing mods, then the money is yours

    I went to Jeff's Shop to get my A/F ratio... I never thought it was that kind of Power... I have been spraying this car over 2 months now.. I will run with and with out the NOS and show the Sheets... I need a couple of things to Make me feel better and then it will happen.. I got 1 week to have it done, Thats the plan..

    First of all, you are the one that chooses the ka and that is your preference. IMO the ka in STOCK FORM doesn't even hold a candle to the sr. Stock sr 1800-2500$ will produce 473 whp, ka's not even close even with an ems and every bolt on you want to put on it. With cams, springs and retainers Enthalpy holds the record with 569 on stock bottom end. I will agree that the FULLY BUILT KA has produced more whp than any sr out there. But when you break the 375whp threshold on ka or sr you run into drivetrain issues with breaking transmissions. MOST REGULAR CUSTOMERS do not want to do what is necessary to make the sr/ka able to put that power to the ground unless they have a large supply of stock ka/sr/rb20 trans.

    Take that 2k and put it into the motor??? If you build a ka alot more moey is involved than just the build. You have to buy multiple piggy backs, or a stand alone, turbo, manifolds, ect to make more power than a stock bottom end stock cam sr. Why don't post a price of how much it will take for your shop to fully build a Ka and make 450 whp. And I will post a price of making 450whp with and sr excluding the tranny upgrade to make it useable power at the track and not a dyno queen.

    Motor finally got back from machine shop last week...now it looks like I may need a new crank. Whenever it gets back on the streets you can get your rematch. With or without spray.

    Just to clear some things up.. My car made 241 Hp and 265 Tq with 12 Psi and a SMIC.. A/F was off the Chart (rich) at 40 Psi Fuel... NOW its Got 14, 15 Psi with the FMIC and 36 PSI Fuel Off Spray...A/F was up And Did Go Lean For a Sec on Spray But The Mass Air Did pick it up and went Rich... I Will Have some Numbers this week.. That should clear up any Drama started with this Thread.... But I want to Pull timming and If the A/f is Good Then 400 WHP will be the Goal... I have a Wet kit to install and thats the Plan for this Week.... ..
