    hey Dr. Tweak...

you think the 3sgte and the 4wd system would work on a 4wd matrix? if so how much are we looking at here cost wise???

Yeah I think it could be done, it would take quite a bit of work though. You're probably looking at around $4500 or so for parts, and around $2500 for labor. Just a rough estimate off the top of my head, hit me up at [email protected] if you want to go into detail about it.

i imagine it would be like doing the corolla,

but the awd matrix is only pushing what 140hp at the crank? people have done a 3sgte in a rav 4 but the rav also has 3sfe, which is the same block so no custom motor mounts!

yea i was thinking of the same thing... but i hope i don't have to modified too much of the under side of the car since i have a drivetrain in the rear... but i dunno... havn't really thought about it till i saw this post...

i wish but no... looking at 118hp/115tq at the crank but some one dyno a stock 4wd and powers at the wheels is at... 94.4hp/92tq... toyota really detune the 4wd because they think the 4wd system couldn't handle more power...

Probably true. AWD is much harder on transmissions since speedshifts will just torque the shit out of the drivetrain instead of spinning tires like any other high HP 2wd car.

Really clean swaps. Have you ever done a WRX motor swap into an older chassis?
