Today i was driving home from picking a friend up and this dud was going like 50 on the highway, so i click down to forth, but i guess i pushed a little to hard and it went into second for about 1 second and i pulled it out before it reved past 5000 RPMs. Iv herd that this can explode your engin, witch has to be true, cause it sounded like my shit was abotu to blow up for a second. Well tonight i noticed that at about 3000rpms in 1st and 2nd gear it makes this crazy ass Clicking noise....anyone have a clue? thanks

UPDATE- Check my Oil Today and it had fucking ZERO....none what so ever...so im guessing thats prolly not very good..a.nwyays threw 2 corts in that bitch now i can get to 7k easy in 2nd gear..but still i have a clicking noise at 3-3.5k in 1st and 2nd gear...lmk what yall think?

Prolly Knocking...cant quite tell....sounds like a loud click/knock only at 3-3.5k tho?

yeeaa....if you were low on oil, and you were pushin it, 9/10 you'll throw a rod, if its knocking, your pretty close to it shuttin down, get it checked out, the downshift aint that bad of a problem, it should have bounced off your rev limiter

ticking = valves? knocking = bye bye motor (came to this conclusion from you sayin there was "0" oil in there.

I wouldnt drive it! Drop the Oil Pan and look at the bearings also.

yeah if its knocking, that means the bearing already spun to the top. Motor=FUCKED.

If you DONT drive it, and the crank isnt torn up, you might be able to throw bearings in it, but i doubt it, since it had no oil

start saving for a new motor

Took it to the shop.....bearings is what they said the sound is...opening up the pan tommorow...if the crank shaft is fucked= new engin...and im broke and the engin hold 4 quarts...and it only had 2 in it.... IM SAD

dude its kinda hard to do when your about to wreck, this fucking 18wheeler was infton of me doing 50, and he just slamed on the break so i was going to pass and he switched into my lane...not much u can do, so i pressed the break and pulled down to downshift to go slower and it knocked into 2nd gear....i can drive a 5 speed i was just trying to alot of shit at one time and it did not work out.
