they are not bad. just old and heavier than a stock KA, which in theory screws up the handling (sr20 is 100lbs lighter than KA; ca18 is 144lbs lighter). and they have 6 cyl yet make less torque than a sr20. and when u upgrade the injectors u have to buy 6 instead of 4. best bang for the buck though if u want to stay below 250hp.

228hp, 225tq with light mods and 13psi.
That would be less torque than an SR with the stock turbo mine made way more torque than horsepower and so did half baked I think.
With the 30R your not even close

Halfbaked that dyno was from a front wheel drive and a t28turbo. Es no counto
It depends on the Sr. A stock rb20 will beat a stock red top. A stock s15 or gtir sr will blow the brakes off a rb20. I had a Ca18 bone stock with a red top sr turbo beat 3 sr cars on the dyno making 223.7rwhp on 14lbs. Its all about the turbo.
I have a t25 not a t28.
Its still a front wheel drive with a frontmount.
