    Default Welding Diff?

    How hard is it to weld a differential. I want to do it on my 240 to save money, or how much does it cost for a shop to do it? Would I be better off with a VLSD? Thanks any help appreciated.

    i would think you would be better off with a VLSD i know alot of my V8 buddies just weld theirs

    yeah i would get a vlsd cause welded diffs are bad for breaking in turns

    i definitely say save up for a vsld. welded ones suck plus it wont be a limited slip diff it will be a spool diff with means that both wheels will always turn at the same speed so like when u pull into a parking spot the car is jsut gonna go chirp chirp chirp chirp chirp bc the wheel will skip and when u turn ur gonna always spin one wheel and like drift every turn lol

    well the car is for drift/track days. street i dont care about really.

    Welded diffs hold up fine if they are done right. Don't listen to the haters, weld that shit and be done with it!
