Pull up that console where the arm rest is and find the ground wire screwed into the handbrake, find another ground and wire that to a switch to turn on and off. Thats what i did with mine. I can do it for you just pm me and let me know. It took me about 15 mins to do in mine.

I'm guessing you want it to play while driving...

no need to do anything with the brake or anything else, simply jump the wires from the screen's control unit.

is the foot brake wire ground or positive if its positive hook it up to your switched power and the other the same way just make sure you know if its positive or not. the brake wire will be by the peddel attached to your brake light switch probably.

i can't remember how mine went but it's either positive or negative that goes to them...I would try grounding both of them first. You DON'T have to run them to the brake(s), simply find a ground or positive from one of the other wires... you should be able to download a manual for it off of alpine's website.

    go here http://www.stylestandard.net/oswego/...%5D&component=

download the manual if you dont have it or look on the sticker on top of the player and see weather the wires are ground or positive and then hook it up to either a ground or positive. no rocket science involved im just too lazy to download the manual to tell you.

you need two switches, the foot brake sees a positive input and the handbrake sees a negative. its easy. just hide the swithces somewhere. kinda sucks but youll have to run through the little sequence everytime you want to use the screen, still no big deal.

why bother switching them at all? Just wire them straight and it's always on...

You have to use switches because the Alpines want to see an "alteration" in current. If you just wire them straight, it will not work. Some indash screens only need to see ground on the brake wire. A simple toggle to ground will accomplish this. Alpine has two wires....yellow w/ blue and yellow w/ black. You can do one of two things. 1) Bypass with two switches. By doing this you wil be able to watch video and access features without having ebrake pulled. 2) Buy bypass adaptor. You can get them online, ebay and such. Pm me and I will tell you how to do the 2 switch wiring. You will only have to hit the switches once per start of the vehicle. Then you can toggle your "video" on and off if you are in a situation were you need the video not to be able to play.
