    Default question on safc

    ok, i know an vafc is to help controll the vtec of a car and what not. but what exactly is an safc for? is it basically the same thing that a vafc is just not controlling the air/fuel for the vtec? please enlighten

    it goes in to alter stock voltage signals from the maf or map signal thereby shifting you in you stock fuel and timing tables. remember i said fuel AND timing tables. good device for small corrections, but when you start altering those signals significantly you shift over large amounts of fuel which is what you're trying to do, but it also jumps you over in timing too which can be an ok thing, but can also be very bad.
