Default Built a 1200HP 2JZ engine this week

So I finally got my hands on some serious Japanese engine the past 2 days. I was pretty excited, so I thought that I would share.

This particular engine made almost 1000whp before it broke the main caps due to another machine shops' poor skills. This time everything was machined/built right and the motor should be making the HP that it should. It may get dyno tuned this weekend, and hopefully I will have some results to post.

The head is running stock ports and a stock crank. Ross pistons, Carillo rods, stainless valves, billet caps, etc...

The man tuning the engine has made over 1400hp on his own car and it was machined, ported, and assembled where I worked on this motor.

It's going in one of the three AAP drag cars. I am not shure of specs exactly, and really don't know if i should disclose because the cars are for competition purposes only.

Well then, lets put it this way...... It was all ready over 1100hp before on a shitty machine job, and now it should run much better and be stronger to go over 1200hp. Who knows, maybe it will go 1200whp this time... I may have dyno results as soon as this Friday.

Whats up Mike? I didn't know you were on IA. This is Gene.

    That motor looks very familiar.

The head is running stock ports and a stock crank. Ross pistons, Carillo rods, stainless valves, billet caps,etc... That head needs some work to flow those number well, im assuming, that etc. includes cams, retainers, TI spings, head studs, main studs etc....

That might be the best thing i have ever read,

"its going in one of AAP's drag cars" Lol... Glad to the shop that does it all still does nothing of its own...
