Default Tire size for a 15x8 wheel.

I'm about to order some 15x8 wheels and need to know what size tires I should get. They'll be used for drifting just FYI. Thanks.

The guys that posted above me are gay, for giving wrong information. How the hell you gon' fit 195 on an 8" rim, don't be gay & stupid. The widest a 195 will stretch is from 5.5-7". 215 is from 6-7.5". So you would need a 225 or wider tire, 6-8".

8 inches wide is quite large, especially for a 15. I mean a 225 is stretched at that width. probably gonna be some trial and error. see what the AE86 guys are doin. should give you a good idea.

For what it helps: I run a 255 on my 16x8 stock wheels. Original owner had 235 on them.

a 195 in a 15" with the big floppy sidewalls will pretty easily stretch on an 8" wheel. i run 215's on my 8.5" fronts and they barely stretch. the stretch will help with stability on the tires for drifting. of course this all depends on the car, because a 195 rear doesn't yield much grip so it'll slide TOO easy if you want to drift with some speed.

Weird I've never heard of tires being able to stretch that much to fit wider wheels .. I guess that only works when it has a big sidewall as you stated.
