    a 195 in a 15" with the big floppy sidewalls will pretty easily stretch on an 8" wheel. i run 215's on my 8.5" fronts and they barely stretch. the stretch will help with stability on the tires for drifting. of course this all depends on the car, because a 195 rear doesn't yield much grip so it'll slide TOO easy if you want to drift with some speed.

    Weird I've never heard of tires being able to stretch that much to fit wider wheels .. I guess that only works when it has a big sidewall as you stated.
