    no way, that's way too high. sounds like you have an intake leak. with your car at running temperature spray carbuerator cleaner all around where your throttle body connects to your intake manifold. if your idle drops while your doing this, then it's your throttle body gasket..

    Your tb butterfly is controlled by the throttle cable, not the computer. So if that's what they told you is causing the sticking problem then I'd reccomend you taking your car elsewhere from now on. The best thing to do is fiddle with the throttle body while the car is off, it could possibly be your throttle cable not connected properly.

    On another note, you can reset your computer yourself.. if it's obd 0 or 1.. just unhook the battery and remove the ECU Backup fuse (located under the hood for 15 minutes or so). Then replace, restart your car, and let it idle untill you've reached your typical operating temperature.

    if it's OBD II, you can get the guys at Autozone to reset it for you for free...
