autopower would make a bolt in roll bar system for the miata that wouldn't be intrusive. There is a maker in particular and I can't think of the name right now that makes Miata roll bars in a few different styles. It's something like Bad Dog, or something Dog. I will look in GRM, I think I saw their ad in there.

Yea, Mike knows just how strong the Hard Dog bar is. We use the Boss Frog Clearview roll bar in all our miata's, except mine. I'm using the Hard Dog Hard Core since it sits high enough to meet SCCA requirements. Both aren't intrusive at all and as Mike can attest to can save your life in a roll over. Both bars are about $400 and $225 to install. The Hard Core bar does sit higher than the clearview and obscures your rear visibility slightly more than the Clearview but you honestly don't notice either after a while. Don't skimp on the bar because you never know when you might end up shiny side down and its not worth losing your life or being paralized to save a little money.
