94 mx6?

A buddy of mine will sell me his 94 mx6 for about $500
completly stock but it needs a motor, so Im just cuious
if anyone could tell me if this even worth the time and effort.

The car its self is almost perfect as far as the body goes.
He paid $2,000 for the car about an year ago.

Just wondering if its worth it

motor:2.5L DOHC v6 (blown)
tranny:5-speed
color:red w/ black interior
mileage: 165,000

yeah, you can get a jspec motor online for like 800 dollars, and if you get it ( chipped, jspec ecu, or go with rpm dependent pills to open vris ) it makes 200 horse power stock... throw in a 50 shot for good measure, and your fast for a street car for under two g's..... check on mx6.com and probetalk.com ( mechanically identical ) I'm twinturbo6 on either....

well seems like it may be worth $500 bucks as long as the car can
actually handle a little hard driving w/o falling a part on me.
the last thing I need is a POS
