    Default Brake Question

One of my employees has a Del Sol and we're in the process of changing the brakes. We're going to be buying Brembo Slotted rotors and HPS pads, since we're buying new stuff anyways what would we need to get to upgrade the brakes. I've never done brake swaps with OE stuff so I'm wondering what would be necessary. With the different size brakes honda put on the different civics what is interchangeable and what isn't? What will work with the same caliper is my main question. I've got the brackets and calipers from a del sol Vtec here but the calipers need rebuilding. If its the same calipers I'd prefer to use that since we won't have to really change anything but pads and rotors. Basically what size brakes can be used without changing the caliper is my question. All help is appreciated.

Im pretty sure the factory bracket only allow u to use the stock size rotors that came off a del sol. Thts y when u gget the AEM Big Brake Kit they give u new brackets to move the caliper out to accept bigger rotors. So with the brackets u have ull only be able to use the stock rotors which arelike 9.5 inches. Does this answer ur question?

Sort of. What size are the Del Sol Vtec rotors. They're bigger than the ones on his car so I'm assuming they're the 10.3". My main question is with the bracket for the Vtec rotors would I need to change the caliper also or would the standard Del Sol caliper be the same? I just don't want to assume it will and then not be able to get it back together.

If the vtec rotors are differnt then I would assum that his stock calipers would not fit and if they do happen to fit they will not have full rotor contact

what I would do is just take the vtec calipers in for a core and get new ones.

Horsepower looks good on paper, Torque wins races.

Thats what I was expecting, just wanted to make sure they weren't the same before I got new ones if they weren't needed.
