Default oh, SHIT - I think I may have a wee little tranny problem

ok ok -breathes- someone tell me how bad bearings feel - or how a tranny out of sync feels. Cause I think I got a BIIIGGG problem. Started out small right? Just hard to downshift into 2nd or 1st, and it'd always make a sort of whining sound ( like a honda going in reverse ). Ok - talked to the mechanic who tends to help me problem solve my car, told me to get Lucas Transmission Additive, kinda a thick substance that when it heats up gets creamy and supposed to stop hard shifting. Anyways, today I got the tranny flushed and refilled, with that additive put in. Score, all good right?

Nope... now I have to shift like Mr. Twinkle Toes. If I don't have it down perfectly, I can feel through my shifter like, my gears are bumping into something, not grinding, but like, not in sync? One person voted up that it might be the bearings are on their way out. Great....

    Any ideas?
