this is how it is for civics and integrasOriginally Posted by NorthSydeEk
FIRST:
in the automatics the transmission mounts are different.....
- automatic tranny mounts are tilted upwards like 45 degrees
- manual tranny mounts are flat and level
you can either cut them out by drilling out the welds and welding in the other one ~or~ buy a conversion mount that i think hasport sells
SECOND:
if you look under you dash to the left of the brake pedal is and blue box with interlock control (for locking the key when it is not in park) written on it.....were that is bolted in is were your clutch pedal goes.
THIRD:
Is it integra or civic?........OBD1 integra has no clutch switches...so no wiring there. Im not sure about OBD2. If it is civic you have to wire two switches for the clutch
FOURTH:
you have to bypass wires to be able to remove the key from the ignition and to make the car think it is in park. Also for the reverse light.
I found it much easier and efficient to change the chassis harness from auto to manual instead of cuting and bypassing wires(wont have to worry about doing it wrong)
others please correct me if i am wrong about something
