    Yes people do weck brand new cars, and USUALLY its not enough to cause the insurance company to total the car. If it is, it usually involves either a front ender or a rollover, and the motor is trash.

    At any rate, good luck with it.

    VQ35DE is found in;
    350z
    Maxima
    Altima v6 or SE-R
    Quest

    Go to Maxima.org - see if you can post a WTB there

    www.car-part.com might have em

    Or, try looking for a VQ30DE - out of the 95-99 Maxima....1 helluva motor 190/205 hp/tq stock....(crank)

    dont forget the infiniti G35/M35/FX35 and the nissan Murano, as well as the new Maximas the Altima SE and SE-R.

    my advice would be My350z.com, there are a few longblocks here and there for sale.
    you can get a brand new shortblock for 1500, and get a really good deal on a head somewhere.

    AWESOME!

    That engine, in a SE-R Spec V, with the Spec V trany internals in the Maxima (manual) tranny housing, with an intake, exhaust, and slicks, will run 12.9 or better. When it's time for a new motor, that's the route I'm taking for my Spec V. Hopefully by then VQ35DEs will be a little cheaper.
