    Default RX8's... anyone?

Hey - brand new to the forums... drive a '05 RX-8/Shinka, and would like to hook up with some folks who run similar cars, or have an appreciation for the Rotary/RX-8.

I like the RX-8 but I drive a Miata myself. The 8 just felt too big to me. I really wish they had made it a 2-door coupe like the 7. Oh well. Enjoy your ride man! Maybe I'll see you around.

I owned one for a very short while, and loved it just as much as my 93' RX-7.

If you want to mod yours, first look into the Greddy turbo kit and some Tanabe NF suspension springs. Also, the Greddy and Borla Cat-backs are good for the money.

18x9" wheels all around with some 245 tires would be good also.

Excellent suggestions - here's the issues I have with some of these though... I have a 75k warranty, so if I turbo it out and start stuffing things inside the engine bay I'm screwed when it comes to warranty items. What kinds of benefits do you suppose the suspension springs will bring? The exhaust might also be a good idea, once I get some cash to blow.

I'm not a big fan of getting wider tires... I have the stock 18" 's with the Potenza tires and I love 'em at 8.5".... just enough grip but not too much so I can still break 'em loose when I want to around turns... you know?

It doesn't take a genius to mash the gas pedal... but can you drive?

Nice ride there. That Shinka is very classy. I am very happy with my '04. Have had it a year and a half. No problems except for a grinding 4th gear and it cold start flooding problems twice. Mazda just updated my starter, plugs and battery so that should be a problem of the past.

If it's gonna be a Mazda cruise then I'll come. If it's just RX-8's, then you guys have fun.
