whats the question?
which one is better?
which is cheaper?
i'd say K20
K20 if u have $$$$$$>......B18c if u also have $$$$$....lol.....D16y8 if u are like me
K20...![]()
this isnt really a question and dc5 isnt an engine.
explain yourself FOO
forget K series, B Series still own!!!!!
i'd swap a k series in my accord if it didnt cost 10 grand.
b18c1 with a strong build and about 12lbs of boost will cost about the same as the k20 stock swap but will own that k yo!
i am trying to piece a cheap K swap....lol....under 5k....
buy a whole car my buddy did a k20 type s swap in his crx for 2300..he bought a rsx type s from a junkyard for 3500 wrecked in the rear and sold all the interior out of it making 1200 off the car and getting the swap for 2300 basicallyOriginally Posted by VinhBodyS

What's the budget? Why are you asking? What's the purpose of the car?Originally Posted by RememberingNever
if you are having someone else install this then you dont deserve either engines.. b18c5 is usually meant for better gearing on auto-x and track courses. the k series engine is just hard as hell to modify the engine bay and mounts so look at spending 10 grand if someone installs it or 7 grand if you do it yourself and set aside about 5 weekends for this project.
#1 you havent priced out a JDM K20 TYPE R swap, cause you are wrongOriginally Posted by nofive-0

K20 DC5R swaps are going for $5500-6500. Add $1000 for Kpro, $500 for mounts $500 for misc stuff like hoses, belts, etc. then factor in labor, which would be around $1000.
thats right at $10k

if u got 10k b series all the way.....
theres probably more parts for a b18c5 since its been around longer. plus any b series part should be compatible. then again k series are pretty cool. if money ain't no thang then flip a coin.
da6-sold
2003 sentra spec V
it doesnt really matter their both bad ass motors, its all about preferance
If you have the money go k20 or k24
b-series is still cheaper and aftermarket parts are everywhere.that 6 speed tranny sounds tempting though.
and LSD if you go JDM
Mine really dosn't leave the garage. People across the street think it is a tool bench.
K24 from the TSX is the best.....
Just notice honda is starting to put more k series motors im there cars so the more out there the price will start to drop like it has with the b series
dont the K24 heads have problems with oil starving at high hp applications?Originally Posted by VinhBodyS
thought i heard that somewhere, something like because of this they can pull mroe power out of a K20A... i think

i would swap a k20a depending on the car.. if it was a civic eg or ek i'd do k20.
if it was an integra DA or DC2 i would do b18c5 swap
I would just use the k in the tegs also
