Ways to tell your 88 CRX is an Si:
-The engine code is D16A6.
-It has a metal sunroof with the switch in the dash, not the roof.
-Drum brakes in the back is irrevelent; they didn't put disc on the back of the Si's until 90.
-The vin number should start with "JHMED9" (ED9 is the chassis code for the Si).
-The title saying "1500" is irrevelent too. My Si title says the same thing.
-The interior should be black, not blue, and the door panels say "CRX" on them.
-The car should be either red, black, white, silver, or the cursed Y-49 Yellow. Si's were only available in those colors until 90, when they added the teal color.
These are just the things I thought of off the top of my head. I think there are other ways to tell also, but I am tired as shit and can't think.
Anything else you want to know about it I can just about guarantee that I can answer it. 88 is the best year IMO because it is the lightest year of the 2nd gen CRX. I can tell what year a 2nd gen CRX is by looking at it.
EDIT: Almost forgot, CRX's only came with the option of power windows, door locks and mirrors in Japan. None of it was ever offered here.
