Default 3G turbo new to the area

Hello, I just moved to Stockbridge a month ago, I've gotten settled in (more or less). I am picking up most of a rear disc upgrade from another member of Club3G. I called a couple salvage yards that are close (Stockbridge and McDonough) and neither has any GTs for me to cannibalize. Was hoping somebody might know where I could find hardware for the rear discs and perhaps a '00 GT front setup.

oh, i have seen, big fan club. But I'll do my best and try not to run over any curbs or anything. In all seriousness though, I just like it for a quick daily driver and it's been a pretty forgiving car to get into autocrossing with.

Anyways, I am in need of some front '00 GT brakes and rear brake hardware. But besides calling nearby salvage yards listed on google, I have no clue where else to look.

I actually lost some of the older pics I had, including whole car pics, so all I got for the moment is under the hood pics. I should add that all the work I've done is under hood and under the car. Function before Fashion, and lots of function to work on...

Garrett T3 Super 60 Turbo, all custom piping. Tuned to 9 psi at the moment 190 whp / 210 ftlbs. I have a pair of wastegate springs on the way, to bring it up to 20 psi. Need to replace the BOV with a recirc, because of idling issues.

IPT rebuilt Sportshift Transmission (w/ Valve Body mod) and Rezlo 2500 rpm Torque Converter.

KYB/AGX Adjustable struts / Eibach Pro Kit lowering springs / Suspension Techniques Rear Sway Bar.

As I said in earlier post, looking to do the GT brake upgrades, rear drum-to-disc, and front dual-calipers. Hopefully tuning within a couple months.

440cc Injectors, 255 Walboro, Greddy eManage. My BOV is not recirced, and I am having some rough idle issues at the moment, not sure if it's a tuning issue or the venting BOV.

I have heard the AEM EMS is a much better solution and the only solution for 500cc+ injectors (though considerably more expensive).

If your MAFS is located before your BOV, its becuase your venting.
If its located after the BOV (before the throttle body after hte BOV) its your tune

I can go in depth as to why either one of them woudl be the case, but let me know which one it is and i can give you a viable solution

The MAF is before the BOV. I knew it was a possible cause, that the MAF is reading a different air flow than was actually getting to the intake because of the BOV in the way.

And this may be REALLY stupid (I've been known to be really stupid at times) but I was under the impression that at idle it would be a closed system. That the setup would only create a stall when the BOV vents at low rpm.

That said, after playing with the eManage anti-stall settings endlessly, I had kinda resigned myself to getting a recircing BOV. I'm aiming to get it tuned in March, won't be able to make it to the drag strip (work scheduling being what it is) until mid to late April. So I got some time to get it all ready.

venting bov should only cause a problem between shifts (at any rpm). It's going to make you run rich every time you let off the gas.

btw, I have some 550cc for sale if either of you guys ared interested...I wanna upgrade to some 660-680cc injectors on my car.

That's the way I'd see it, but I've been told by several people recircing will fix the idle. Also heard from several on Club3g the same.

As for the injectors, I appreciate the offer, but my 440s will do fine for me, I'm shooting for a modest 250-300 whp with my 3g.

on SOME cars, not all it affects idle as well
A friends GS-T spyder did, while my spyder didnt.

I suppose if you have really good vaccum (or a weak bov), it could suck the bov open at idle causing it to leak.

May be what I am experiencing, I have noticed a long drawn out BOV release moving at idling speeds. Freaked me out because it sounded more like a metallic screech than a whistle.

I'll recirc it and get it tuned at Battleground. Wastegate springs are on the way, I can deal with the rough idle for another month or two.

with a stock BOV, it did it on his, and a greddy type s it did it.

Just try recirculating see if it makes a difference

Yeah, I actually just emailed Battleground about recircing and tuning. It's gotta be 1 or the other, so fix both and it'll idle nicely again. Now to just track down the rest of the damn brakes I need. And tires. Brakes and tires, and my thermos. Brakes, tires, my thermos, and that's all I need!

*ahem* sorry, had a moment. Now that I think of it, anyone know a good place I can get bushings pressed in/around the Stockbridge McDonough area?
