I did the same swap in my civic. it was very easy. had the d16z out and the b18b in and running within 7 hours.
if you want to use the ac u will need the ac bracket from a b16 delsol. bout 75 bucks at junkyard.

i dont have ac now, lived without it last summer, i will do without it for a while. why doesnt the b18b1 bracket work?? push the compress to far out or something?Originally Posted by widecoupe

yeah it pushes the compressor to far off the block. u will need the LS transmission mount and rear mount, as well as axles and shift linkage. U can use your stock d16z right side mount ( i polished mine...the mount is solid aluminum). if you have and EX model civic you can plug the wire harness directly into the ecu. The swap was really a sinch...
if you can bring the motor out from the bottom and bring the LS through the bottom as well. it is so much easier than trying to take it in and out of the top.
