What do you define as dirt cheap? I should have a set for sale in a few weeks, but most B5.5 (thoose are the ones in the pics, 2001.5 and newer cars) headlights go for around $100 a set...

Its def cool, Its prob a lot of work for little effect on the look...99% of PPL wouldnt notice it....Doest mean I wouldnt do it, but VW peeps are all about doin odd mods for "only themselves"...until it goes unnoticed, then they act like VW owners. That is bad ass... but for some reason I am convinced i wasnt to do a GTi Front end with black housing headlights/badgeless grill/ Boser hood/fat FMIC.

Well since your local id sell my set to you for $75...im still awaiting my new ones. I am helping someone prototype a new headlight and he is still unsure of when he is getting them in. If you arent in a HUGE rush to get this done then ill have a set for you sometime soon.

OOOOOO....i just looked closer at thoose pics. He retrofitted the euro spec bi-xenon lights in there (~$800ish for a set if you can find a pair), NOT the OEM headlights. The OEM lights have the high beam on one end and the turn signal light on the other with the main light in the middle...im not sure if you could even fit the OEM lights and still have a turn signal, since it is on the end that he removed.

    OEM:

    Bi-Xenons:

Notice how the bi-xenons have the turn signal in the middle as opposed to the end like the OEM lights do
