    not to be rude,,, but by the time it took you to make this thread you could have goggled it and got a real in depth answer...but since I'm already here. 4l is for slow speeds: pulling, sand, mud, steep hills, rock crawling. 4h is for driving at a higher rate of speed,, like if its snowing and your driving down the road at 45mph.
