Hello. I'm 14 and I love drifting, but enough about me. Recently, I have aquired an absolute resentment for turbos; besides the lag and the heat, their expensive and they are not a real man's power adder. So, with my love for drifting and the early moddel S14 (byt the way, could someone post the meanings of zenki and kouki, Ihave only a slight understanding of them),I'm looking for individual throttle bodies ( the good ones with velocity stacks). I have searched this very helpful, yet sometimes horrid thing we call internet, yet I cannot find anything; just some that can make a costom part, yet that would be costly, both in money and time. Could anyone help me?

........ these things are cool, unlike an SR20DET, or a new XBOX 360 (PS3 rules!).

P.S. Im a Nissan enthusiast, so question me on anything Nissan.

ITB's are expensive, need a well built motor to really do anything with, and still won't make half the power of a mildly tuned turbo motor . so for the cost of the ITB's and standalone EMS to run them, you could easily swap in a factory SR20DET, up the boost a little and have little to no lag on the stock turbo setup and make 230ish rwhp on pump gas. or, a low budget turbo KA using a T28 off of an SR and some low buck parts to put it all together would cost even less and still make more power than the KA with ITB's (pump gas vs. pump gas). to make that kind of power on the KA in NA trim would require at least 11:1 compression and the best gas you can get your hands on, and still not be as reliable as a mild SR or turbo KA. do you know what lag actually is or how it's affected by certain changes to the car? an SR with a T25 or BBT28 both spool very quickly, and when it comes to drifting lag isn't so much of an issue because you're generally putting your foot to the floor most of the time (although transient response will be better with a smaller turbo like the stock ones).

ITB's are great for complying with rules for different sanctioning bodies that don't allow swaps/turbo cars in their classes, but for every day street use the SR/RB's would take the win here in both power and reliability.
