Power brake in the auto and you can still get a mean launch. Build about 5-6 pounds at the line.

    Good luck with it.

Looks like that's going to be fun Is that the cast SBR manifold or one of their tubular ones? I want to get the cast one from them, just wondering how you like it?

    Default FP Red Turbo?

Anyone ran it or know anyone who is running? I'm curious as to what kind of number it actually produces since it's a hybrid.

if everything goes to plan, yes it will be done tomorrow, ill be there around 9-930 in the morning to start but it shoudl be fine, i gotta run to autozone in the morning on the way and grab some oil, your tranny fluid, a small section of hose, the intake filter, 3 inline hose connectors, and some hose clamps and as long as i dont have shit like your radiator not fitting, broken bolts nad other stuff, it should be done

and might i say, this car has some of the worst rusted bolts i haev ever seen in my life, the bottom mounting point for the FMIC bolt is broken off, so i have a drill it out and put a bigger sheetmetal screw in to hold it. Not to mention EVERY bolt holding hte bumper on except the 5 center bolts broke
the 4 on the sides, and like 5 underneath

the radiator doesnt fit becuase of the wastegate, i had to cut off a large amoudn of plastic on teh left fan shroud and one of the cross supports, wil have to cut some of the blades off as well, the compressor BARELY fits by the block, the inlet on the 50 trim is 3" in diameter, its huge, and i made a huge mess doing it all. but it was fun, and my first 50 trim, but really easy once i got into it, minus all the shit setting me back

lol yeah that too, forgot it uses tranny fluid. i had to do it because the top mounting bracket was soo rusted i couldnt get it off, i could just mount an external tranny cooler (just use an oil cooler )in front of your frount mount, itd be cool

i think it was like 855 and 150 or somethign for hte instal kit

^^maybe torque converter, definitely shift kit. im still not sold on torque converter. will somebody please explain to me in detail how it works...and how it will effect my daily driving? the way i think of it is like a stall converter, and my car wont launch untill a preset rpms are hit.

You might wanna switch to slimline fans with that setup. That's how I do the install on them for that setup and larger. You still wanting to tune it, or you have something else planned?

lol, the let fans are not gonna work for a lil while, i had to hack it to get it to fit, but the radiator is in, everything works, runs, MAFS check engine light, but the GM MAFs works, no lumpy idle and wideband says its good. SO far it hits like 10 psi
but ive only been aroudn base

It depends on where devin wants to go to tune it

id like to get it tuned asap....also depending on the price of a shift kit, id like to go ahead and get that. 10psi on this feels ABOUT like 20psi on the other, maybe pulls a little harder, and definitely alot more turbo lag. something needs to be done about the launch, cant build up hardly any boost at all. i didnt try putting my boost higher because u told me not to, so...get back to me.

throw it top high it goes to 17 i think
Yeah the launch sucks, the shift kit would deff help, but it deff feels alot stronger adn when i lean it out just a bit to the 11.5 AFR range, it will be nice

I would get a SAFC in additon to the maft setup. You'll be able to do get a MUCH better tune when you use both together. It's very difficult to get a good tune with just the maft, so nearly all the dsm's owners I tune for opt for the safc to piggyback with the maft. You're gonna need a stall+ with new valvebody to get get the most out of that tranny. AT.dsm.org will have more of the info you're looking for. There are some people that have had a lot of success with modifying the automatic dsm tranny, so check it out.

the translab shift kit is the valve body upgrade
and the torque converter ist he other thing. When you egtt he TQ conv you will have a HUGE difference in a launch.

but for now the MAFT will work for you, and get you close enough

Do you have the maft setup to tune rpm load points? If not all it does is tune globally. It might get you "safe" but it wont get you close. With a 50trim setup, on that car, you need to tune to get that thing to spool up. Anyway, I guess you have it all under control, good luck with it.
