    Default how much boost? just checking shit out...

    man chipped 1.8ts have funny boost, i was up at batlground putting on a new MAF sensor and just ran the car:

    spike 21 >>> down to 17 >>> up to 19 >>> down to 12 >>> back up again...

    at 3500rpm it drops from 6.5 to 1 timing anyone got some dynos?

    we were looking at this last night, made some adjustments to make alittle more boost on normal cars, but we think that the ecu/sensor hits a point then drops boost, this i guess is why these turbos start strong and end low.

    what are your cars doing???

    mine does it all the time. When i'll launch the bitch it will hit 21psi for like 2 seconds then drop to 16psi

    Mine exactly the same..
    When FMIC went on spike to 22, hold 20...near redline slow drop off of pressure.

    If you are droppin to 12, then rising again in the same gear...something sounds wrong to me. Sounds like a misfire, or some sort of timing/detonation issue.

    25 steady or spiking. Mine on race program spiked there, held above 22 almost to red.

    You have to look at the airflow tables to see why the timing is making jumps. With the extra boost, the stock airflow numbers are gonna be different, so it's tough to say without being able to see a log. Also, the GIAC chip probably raises the rev limiter, which in turn would mean that the airflow tables are probably extended so to speak, so you would also need to see what everything looks like there as well.

    24psi daily through mine on the stock motor and pump gas

    i hit 20-21 but can only hold about 17 with just a 91 oct apr chip, using 93 octane. ireally need to go get the 93 burned on
