It's the same VQ35DE Engine it just has a larger intake manifold and the Cams in some applications but the Block/Head should be the same.

all vq motors share the same connecting rods,crankshafts, and cylinder heads, and i thought camshafts as well.. am i wrong? FWD models have a different block.. but thats only because it necessary since the motor mount positions are different. everything other than that is different like manifolds.Originally Posted by Kevykev
but yeah, ECUs have different Variable valve timing programming,ignition timing maps, and electronic throttle control settings and completely different feedback systems blah blah blah yaddah yaddah yaddah.. so yeah.. to make it short.. the regular altima is detuned.
