but on the op i dont mean the intake interfoolers. i meant real intercoolers used to give more air to the engine

An interCooler restricts flow. However, on boosted cars, the restriction is much less than the compressed air from the turbo/supercharger AND the advantage of cooler air is worth the slight drop.
