Default i have a serious electrical problem

ok so im driving all normal and stuff and i get to a red light in the turning lane, put my blinker on and realize everytime it flashes, my rpm hand would move, so i thought nothing of it and kept driving. a little on down the road, my hid's start to flicked and my battery light starts to slightly flash, so now im realizing something is wrong. i pull over to check loose wires and everything but nothing. i continue on my way home and my headlights are very dim and the batt. light is randomly flashing on and off. as im getting closer to home, i notice when ever i step on the brakes, my headlight go off and the batt. light comes on and when i take my foot off the light goes off but my headlights stay off. What might the problem be?

if your battery light was flashing the other night, i doubt you will be able to because starting your car will drain what little power it has left.

just pull the alternator and get a ride to a parts store so they can check it before you spend money. I had to put one on mine recently, got it from o'reilly and it wasnt much over $100 after core.

well i had enough juice to get me to advanced, put on the new alternator and guess what.............same stuff was happening so i was out of ideas then "poof" a past experience told me to change the alt. belt so i did and that got rid of the problem! i didnt feel like taking the alternator back off because i would oif had to take the bracket and the fuel rail off again and didnt feel like doing that so even tho i didnt need a alt. i just keep the new one anyway.........life time warranty FTW!!

did you check the alt fuse? mine integra was doing the same thing a couple months ago and i pulled the alt to get it check and everything checked out. i checked the battery and connections and the same thing happened. i was stumped and then i remembered about the fuse and not surprisingly it was blown. so check that b/c that could very well be it since the prob is still happening. the alt fuse on my car also ran my speed sensor so if your mph hand isnt working either its a fuse...
