    Default civic reving HIGH on cold starts...

    can some one tell me what mite be causing this problem...
    like the car is running open header rite now and i dont know if that affects it...
    when i turn the car on on any cold start it revs up to 3k rpms..

    looks like you got a IACV problem
    i had this problem this same wk. cleaned it as of today & seems to help.. seem the same when i started it but as it got warm it idle'd normal!

    ill deff be cleaning that up tomorrow... is there any specific way to do it? lol u know dont wanna fuck nothing up...

    cleaned the IACV but nothing....it went to 3k rpm again...but came down faster..may be because the warmer weather?

    never mind i think it did work. but i disconected the battery for a few minutes. and now it went down to 1500 rpm. ill try it tomorrow morning and ill let yall know if its fixed.

    well like i said i was going to test the car today in the mornig... and the car reved at 2800 rpm from a cold start. ima clean the FITV before i go to work see if it goes down more. ill keep yall updated

    got to clean the FITV and it worked. it revs to 2400 rpm for a few seconds than goes down to 2000.. and before when it was already warm the car would stay at 1300 rpm and now it goes 1000 rpm or lower
